Lose Water Weight in the Garden: Plant Colorado Natives!

 

Palmer Penstemon is a fragrant, tall spike flowering plant with pink blooms in early summer and distinctive, gray foliage.  It likes heat and must be grown in well-drained soils.  Do NOT over water; this plant thrives best in low-water conditions.  Reaches 4-5 feet in height and is a Colorado native!

 

 

There are many ways in which you can lower your water costs by being as water efficient as possible. 

  • Replace old or leaky fixtures; we offer rebates on toilets, shower heads and front loading washers.

  • Use more drought tolerant plants in your landscaping; see a video link here.

  • Replace less efficient sprinkler heads with rotary nozzles.
